Week of the Environment 2020

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in cooperation with the German Environmental Foundation, will be hosting the 6th “Woche der Umwelt” (Week of the Environment) on the 9th and 10th of June 2020 in the Park of Schloss Bellevue.

The event will be focusing on different aspects of environmental protection, nature conservation and climate change, for example energy production, circular economy, biodiversity, sustainable digitalization and mobility. It is dedicated to show the potential and solutions for creating a transformation that successfully combines ecology, economy and society.

During the event, around 170 enterprises, research institutions, associations and organizations will have the chance to present their innovative projects in the exclusive location of Schloss Bellevue. A jury will choose the participants based on their application. Important information on how to submit an application can be found here (instructions and application in German).

Additionally, high-level panels and about 80 expert forums will take place over the two-day event. The program will be released in spring of 2020.

Please note: This event will be conducted in German. The project presentations are to be in German. The program will be mostly in German, too.

Around 12.000 attendees are to be expected, coming from the areas of politics, academics and economy. On the afternoon of the 10th of July, the event will be open to the general public.
